So this is Day 2, and I have to admit, after almost three weeks of high-fat, high-sugar and high-carb eating, my body is going into withdrawals. I have cravings for chocolate and I am getting headaches. I am not feeling weak and I know this is just part of the process, this happened to me before when I cut out all animal products from my diet for 10 days, I got headaches, and I don’t get headaches on a normal basis. Tried out both the Kiss (pineapple, organic celery and greens and banana) as well as the Sebby (coco water, apple, organic ginger, greens and banana) today. I have to say that so far the Sebby is my favorite and I asked Rawlicious’ owner, Joanna Lichauco about it and she said that if I wanted I could add more of my favorite ingredients (in this case, it was ginger). Although I’m still fighting off hunger pangs I stayed good the whole morning and I even weighed myself. From yesterday today I lost a whole pound! Problem is, by the evening I caved in and ate half a cup of brown rice, half a grilled fish and beansprouts mixed with broccoli and cauliflower. I know, still relatively healthy compared to the Christmas feasting but I did want to try going three days with 90% juicing. In this case it dropped down to 80% more or less. 😦 Better luck to me tomorrow, will try out the Tummy drink and see if it will make my tummy smaller, or at least allow for another pound of weight loss. At the very least I am giving my digestive system a bit of a break!
